Plum & Lorna was created from a very lovely childhood memory and brought to life in the Goldfields, Western Australia by myself Nasanya (Sunny) Ling when I started to paint and tap into the fun side of Art.

Working with-in the education setting, I've been able to harness the skills collected over the years, and cast these unique circumstances for good, encouraging resolve with, and through art...using my unique perspective and personality.

Growing up in a small community in South Australia and having some very unique family circumstances to carry through, the sometimes lack-lustre life of the daily grind had me questioning so much. I would wonder about my spirited self as I did the dishes and laundry thinking I've nailed the tasks required of me as a mother, but deep down, I knew I was burning with a passion, I just didn't know what that passion was... that was until one day, when I decided to call myself an artist. I started moving paint. I have always been a visual learner, and see things differently from my friends, so that was easy for me to tap into. I guess the unusual hurdle for me to get comfortable with, was community standards I'd conjured up ... and that ghastly feeling of failure coming from a smaller town. All those questions crept in... of why I shouldn't, couldn't , wouldn't... they are all part of the wonkiness of my art journey and very important. I share all this to help others know, there has to be self love and desire at the very base of passion.

I have over the years built up my skills and today, I'm wishing to continue moving forward. I invite you to follow along as I continue to nurture my love of yesteryear and bring forward paintings that might bring a smile to someones day.​​​​
